This is an direct attempt at sabotage!! I called them and asked why, and they basically told me the race was over and it was their decision to make. The tone of the conversation made it clear that they have no intentions of changing their minds on this.
This poll is extremely important. I'm speaking only as an individual Huckabee supporter, but I believe we need to go into action on this. Let me explain why this appears to be deliberate first.
When the race was between 3 men, with McCain way ahead, he still polled on both Wednesday and Thursday. Even though the conservative vote was still split between Huckabee and Romney, he still polled! With the conservative vote split between those two, it was practically IMPOSSIBLE for Huckabee or Romney to win. Yet he still polled!
Now that Romney is out, it is now VERY POSSIBLE for Huckabee to win taking the conservative vote, and it is now that he decides to stop polling saying the race is over. Huckabee could easily win almost all of the remaining states, because THE CONSERVATIVE VOTE CAN NOW BE UNITED.
If he had decided to stop polling immediately after Tuesday's results were known, maybe his decision could be regarded as misguided but genuine. Since he continued polling, this decision can only be regarded as a deceptive attempt at sabotage.
What can we do? We need to get this in front of the media and hammer and hammer and hammer it until the story gets picked up and some political pressure causes Scott to change his mind.
ACTION:
- Write in to every news show you know, telling them Scott and much of the other media is trying to sabotage the race and end it early.
- This one is Huge, because it can't be ignored....call into EVERY RADIO TALK SHOW you can and voice the message before they can cut you off.
- Contact the Huckabee campaign and advise that they address this issue as well in the media.
- And finally (and probably least effectively, but still worth the time) send email to Scott Rasmussen, and call (732)776-9777.
- Lets get this out to every huckabee meetup, or forum group we can.
Let's stop this concerted attempt by the establishment to have an abortion of this election!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brad, I am also pro-life, (even went from using birth control to leaning quiver-full in recent years, and we just decided to stop vaccinating our 3rd child due to the discovery of what is in them).
While I admire your zeal on your blog to the cause of the innocent, I must say as a Believer you need to WAKE UP!
This is much bigger than the "pro-life" issue. I worked on Capitol Hill years ago, have been a long time Republican and pro-life advocate.
Start digging. The media block-out isn't just about Huckabee either. It is also more than the other candidate blocked out. It is about many more issues that they do want the light of day on.
As a Christian you need to be more worried about the big picture, to which abortion is tied. Population control is part of it. Why is abortion, birth control and the like targeted to the people? Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood) was a fan of eugenics, but after the public decided that Hilter's eugenic plan wasn't cool, the American plan became much more subtle. Look her and eugenics up in wikipedia for an unbiased, but eye-opening primer.
Real ID, and the loss of our Constitution in this country are part of the overall plan. Pro-life laws won't make much of a difference if you don't realize that there is actually even more at stake right now in this country. Study history. I know your profile says you finding reading a chore, but please do it. Study Germany...before WW1 and WW2. Most of the church stood by while the Nazi's came into power. Many more pastors supported Hitler and the mainstream church than stood against him. People were given a national id...papers (as in papers please) before the tyranny started. They did this in the name of safety (after a bomb went off, later it was found a plant by one of Hitler's men). Read 1984 (by Orwell, who btw Sanger had an affair with). Read the Communist Manifesto. Read A Brave New World.
Let God open your eyes. If you haven't had your tv off in a while, shut it off for at least a couple weeks, couple months would be better, do the same with mainstream newspaper and magazines....then really look at what is going on. Learn what socialism and fascism are...then take a better look at the left and right in this country. They are unfortunately both wrong at the moment. Many of us are starting to see how it has been infiltrated. We are fighting for the Republican party, but laws have been put in place to quite the voice of freedom. Would Huckabee repeal the Patriot Act? How much are we, the Church, willing to give up for "safety"? If our freedoms are gone, how safe are we really?
If Huckabee as a pastor can't come out against Real ID as an affront to our Constitution (not just as too expensive)...and also see the eerie Biblical parallels, then he will never get the conservative vote that is backing the other unmentioned candidate in this race. The one who is really being muted. Whose numbers and fundraising are very large, especially among military, now stuck overseas, but whose votes strangely are always tallying lower...
Ask yourself why so many Conservatives, Christian Fundamentalist, even Amish/Mennonite aren't behind Huckabee, but yet support (RP)....we are all very pro-life, and while we appreciate his stance on the issue, he isn't taking the Biblical stance yet on many important matters. Perhaps he doesn't realize what is at stake. As much as in some respects we'd love a Constitutional amendment to protect from abortion, we see that that also leads to it being manipulated the other way. If we are to protect our freedoms, it needs to be a states issue. The Constitution party is pro-life. They have support from Vision Forum (very conservative Christian group). And they back RP, not Huckabee. When HSLDA supported Huckabee, the majority of homeschoolers cried out....why? Because we know the Constitution must be honored to ultimately protect our freedoms as Christians.

They aren't just tearing down morals has most Christians see, they are tearing down the fabric of this country...they are slowly chipping way at our freedoms in the name of "safety". Those who object are looked at as crazy, because who wants to be "less safe"? They are taking away the 2nd amendment (which was put in affect to protect us), freedom of speech (Patriot Act..."free speech zones"), to choose our own food, and eventually travel or buy and sell. If you refuse the real ID, you will find that the USDA's NAIS program will make it so you can't own an animal without it being chipped either. Once it is, the govt has the right at any time to destroy it. So, you can't buy milk, or make your own...the Patriot Act and several other powers under Rex84 (look it up) allow the govt to come seize your guns, food, and relocate you if they declare martial law for a disaster (New Orleans), or because of "terrorism". So much for food storage too I guess.
We are giving up our civil liberties in the name of "freedom" in this country. Pro-life legislation won't mean much if when the child is born, he or she must be chipped or tattooed.

Know that they would like to have everyone "get chipped" or tattoo'd. They already have people doing it for medical reasons. They are promoting it for safety (locating children) as well. They have targeted Alzheimer's patients, and also prison inmates as potential groups to implement it on. They were lobbying the Pentagon in 2006 to chip enlisted military personal and it was published in several tech trade magazines. A lot of digging and you'll find they also believe it to be great for banking (one swipe of the hand to pay for items). Even without it being a chip or tattoo, the Real ID is an international ID whether the govt admits it or not. They spin it, but it will eventually have a linkable database not only for our country but others as well.
We need people like yourself in the fight against this...you think the Holocaust was bad, what is coming if laws like Real ID keep quietly being passed, and not repealed, will make the Holocaust look like nothing.
If you are "pre-trib", start reading, for yourself. If it is "pre-trib" then you still wouldn't want to support a system that will enslave and kill many. If it isn't, remember you are through action or inaction determing the future for yourself and many.
Remember Joseph storing for 7 years of plenty for the 7 yrs of famine. Look at our economy...really look. Do you know what our wheat crops produced this year? It has gone up in price 50% in the first 2 months of this year alone. We will have to import wheat from other countries. Have you seen it in the news? If not, why? Glenn Beck recently mentioned it, but I do not think anyone else has...
I could go on (UN, NAU, SPP, loss of sovereignty), but think you get the picture. I don't know why I stopped to write this, and think it odd I even stumbled across this site....much less rambled here.

While I appreciate your comment as a Ron Paul supporter. I think some of the things you are saying are blown way out of proportion.
For instance, show me in the bible where a national id is unbiblical. If you don't think our Driver's Licenses and Social Security Cards don't already function as a national id, I think you are missing the obvious. The only thing is that right now they are not very reliable. Changing from an unreliable id to a reliable id is not unbiblical or sinful.
To say that the murder of innocent people is less important than the other issues you are mentioning I believe is very incorrect. Abortion is not only more important; it is a non-negotiable. And sadly I am sorry to say that Ron Paul is not pro-life. He believes states should be able to decide who it is legal to murder. I'm sorry but the 14th amendment was written to protect us from state sponsored murder! Now you say you support the constitution, but you don't support the 14th amendment which specifically directs the federal government to PREVENT THE STATES from allowing the murder of people?
That is inconsistent. If you hold that you do not believe in the constitution, then your position would be more consistent, but if you are going to hold up the constitution as this wonderful document, then you need to consistently support all of it, including the 14th amendment.
None of the issues you've mentioned are even in the same ballpark as the state sponsored murder of 1 million innocent children every year in our country.
