Presidential Election (January Update)

Hi all,

Mike Huckabee, the only truly pro-life candidate in the race (and here is the proof) is once again on top of the daily rasmussen national poll as the national front runner, but it is very very close.  Mike Huckabee is really hurting for money.  He's been very effective and much more efficient than his rivals, but he needs more money to fight the negative and false ads flooding South Carolina.  Also, Feb 5 has like 20 states, and Huckabee needs a lot of money now to get the organizations set up in those states to get the vote out and inform the public.  The primary is just a few days away and we need to give right now!!!  Then forward this to everyone you know and ask them to give.

Also, if you don't have money YOU CAN MAKE CALLS FOR HUCKABEE.  Go here to register:

If you don't have long distance minutes but DO have a computer, you can download software to make FREE phone calls across the Internet here:

All you need is a computer headset, an Internet connection and a heart that cares.

Attack groups like the Club for Growth and others are subverting election contribution limits by attacking on behalf of candidates getting far more in contributions from single donors than is legal if those contributions were given to the campaign.

On taxes, you can go to my blog and see rock solid proof from tax tables of the states to show that Romney increased the tax burden of his state as a percentage of the economy year over year 75% faster than Huckabee :

http://bradbeblogging.blogspot.com/2008/01/romney-rebuttal-enclosed.html

If you watched the debate, you know that Romney had the 3rd worst job growth in the nation during his term, while Huckabee was able to produce a prosperous state.  Even though Romney increased tax on the economy 75% faster than Huckabee, Huckabee did more with the more moderate increase that he had:

  • Huckabee through their kids insurance initiatives brought the rate of uninsured children down from 29% to 19%.
  • Huckabee took their roads which were one of the worst according to Trucker magazine to the most improved according to the same group.
  • Huckabee passed the first ever broad based tax cut in the state's history, and that with a democrat legislature!
  • Huckabee took an education system that was 49th in the nation, and it is now 8th.  49th to 8th!!!!!

What Huckabee did was govern.  OK, so he's not just looking out for big business.  He cares about people too.  And to some, that's going to be a turnoff.  But considering how well he did with so much smaller tax increases than Romney, that has to be impressive.

Please see the tax figures for yourself.  Romney and Club for Growth and others have been lying, trying to stick the fiscal liberal tag on Huckabee, but its simply not true.

We have a chance to have a Christian leader with STRONG biblical principles and now is our time to be heard.  He's even being attacked now for not recanting his support for a patriarchal biblical family structure.  Now if there's anything you would expect a politician to compromise on, it's that, but he hasn't.

In the last update, I did not give any information about the Democrat candidates, because I thought it was common knowledge that they are not pro-life.  I'm going to provide some information now to clear that up.

Barack Obama:
A Text Outline of Barack's record on abortion
Alan keyes proving Barack is even more pro-abortion murder than Hillary Clinton. (In Illinois blocked bill to prevent the murder of unsuccessfully aborted babies who were born alive)
Barack Obama himself stating his support of abortion murder

Hillary Clinton:
Hillary's website states clearly that she supports abortion murder and they even have a fact sheet explaining how tirelessly she has supported it.

On Homosexual privileges, you can see where both of them stand.  They both participated in the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual & Trans-sexual debate or as they like to call it LGBT.  The republicans would not participate in such a debate, but you can hear the democrat candidates and how they'll support the homosexual agenda here:

Once again, now is the time to act.  If Huckabee doesn't win South Carolina Saturday, his chances become very slim.  If you can't give, pray.  I ask that you would fast and pray with me.  I have been fasting since Saturday night with nothing but water, and plan to continue for about 3 more days until the primary Saturday night.  I have kept this private until now, but I need to request that you participate with me in seeking God's favor in granting us a Christian leader.  Can you complete these last three days until Saturday evening fasting and praying with me for our nation?

Historically no candidate has ever won the nomination without getting South Carolina.  It is a dead heat right now between the big three: McCain, Huckabee & Romney.  Actually Romney isn't as high, but I expect him to get a bump up from winning Michigan.  The importance of this primary CAN NOT be over-emphasized.

God bless you all,

Brad Reynolds
